Opportunities

The Eliason lab is committed to maintaining an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment for all lab members. We condemn the institutional racism that exists in academia. We acknowledge and work to correct discriminatory biases within ourselves and aim to dismantle systemic barriers to equity in STEM. We encourage individuals across all ethnic, racial, religious, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic, caregiver and family commitment, political affiliation, age, and disability identities to join our team. Together, through our diverse perspectives and experiences, we can creatively tackle complex environmental problems.

We seek lab mates who are creative, hard-working, curious, resilient, intelligent, self-motivated, mature, reliable, team-players, and eager to learn. Work-life balance is very important to us! Previous Eliason lab members include a triathlete, nine devoted dog parents, the Latvian CrossFit champion, two reality tv connoisseurs, a sourdough starter enthusiast, a talented artist/surfer, two varsity volleyball players, two varsity ultimate players, an aspiring ukulelist, two moms and a dad.

Postdoctoral Fellows

I am always happy to hear from prospective postdoctoral fellows. I do not currently have any funded postdoctoral positions available, but can help potential applicants craft fellowship applications if our interests align.
